BMO Expo 2026: Meeting Athletes Where the Energy Starts
Marathon weekend doesn’t begin at the start line — it begins at the Expo. Over two days at the Vancouver Convention Centre East, the BMO Vancouver Marathon Health, Sports & Lifestyle Expo brought together more than 25,000 runners, families, and fitness fans to pick up race kits, discover new gear, and soak up the energy ahead of race day. Athleticus Research™ was proud to be there with one goal: to make sure female runners had one less thing to worry about on race day.
5,378 pairs, handed to female runners
That’s 5,378 athletes who walked away with leakproof protection built for the kilometres ahead, and 5,378 conversations about something the running world rarely discusses out loud. For us, the number isn’t the point so much as what it represents: thousands of women toeing the line with confidence instead of quietly hoping their gear holds up.
Why we gave them away
Endurance sport asks a lot of the body, and for women that includes training and racing through their cycle. Fear of leaks and the discomfort of disposable products are real reasons athletes hold back, or sit out entirely. Putting leakproof underwear directly into runners’ hands removes that barrier on the day it matters most, and starts a conversation that too often goes unspoken at the start line.
